Auschwitz Museum Traveling Exhibit
December 1, 2017 - February 3, 2019
The Spungen Family Foundation has loaned 36 artifacts for a seven year period to the Auschwitz Museum Traveling Exhibit. The organizers are a team from Musealia, a Spanish company dedicated to creating high quality travelling exhibitions for museums and cultural centers throughout the world, first in Madrid, then Sweden in late 2018.
We are very pleased to announce that the Government of Madrid, hosting partner of the exhibition in the Spanish capital through the public company Canal Isabel II, has requested us the extension of the exhibition in its venue. This is due to the excellent figures of visitors (more than 250,000 visitors have already been to the exhibition and it is estimated that roughly 400,000 will do so before the planned closing on June 17th, and, most importantly, the will to bring as many schools to the exhibition as possible (50,000 of them have so far booked their free visit).
We have agreed with them that the exhibition will be extended until 3 February 2019, at the current venue Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal, which will allow us to reach the touristic season in the summer and the schools groups from all over Spain in autumn.
