Inspired after hearing Emmanuel speak in Terre Haute, Indiana, on March 4th, in a matter of 72 hours we arranged for Emmanuel to speak at seven local high schools, one middle school, three Adult Learning Events and attend two other important events as an honored guest.

August 2013 Shanghai Ghetto Memory Events
Rosemont, IL
In recognition of the 70th Anniversary of the "Designated Area For Stateless Refugees" (commonly known as the Shanghai Ghetto) established February 18, 1943 and in conjunction with the World's Fair of Money, the Foundation will be hosting educational events. Shanghai Ghetto survivors from all over the USA will be present to meet invited guests at the Fair and share their stories. Keynote speakers: will include:

August 15th: Steve Hochstadt author of the book, Exodus To Shanghai

August 16th: Ms. Manli Ho, daughter of Dr. Ho Feng-Shan. Dr. Ho was responsible for efforts in issuing entry visas to Shanghai that were used to facilitate the escape of Jewish refugees as China's Consul General to Vienna prior to the start of WWII.

Holocaust Museum

The Foundation in the summer of 2010 loaned two letters written by Dr. Josef Mengele ("The Angel of Death") to his wife while at Auschwitz Death Camp to the Candles Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute, Indiana. The two letters (and a medal Mengele received for his "good work" on Hitlerís birthday April 20, 1944) can be viewed on the museum web site.
