Distribution of Operation Bernhard Notes

Volkher von Lengeling is the grandson of Egon Lengeling (pictured left, courtesy of Volkher von Lengeling), who was part of the distribution network of Operation Bernhard notes, and later became involved with the German resistance to Nazism. Von Lengeling is author of “The distribution of fake British pounds in the biggest money counterfeiting scheme in history,” an academic article published in 2022 about the distribution network his grandfather was part of.
