Agnes Schwartz Shares her Story with Schools Across Tennessee – Webinar

December 10, 2025

On Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 10:00 am Central / 11:00 am Eastern, the Tennessee Holocaust Commission cordially invites educators and students across Tennessee to a Zoom webinar with Holocaust survivor Agnes Schwartz.

Agnes Schwartz was born in 1933 in Budapest, Hungary and was 10 years old when the Nazis occupied her home. Agnes was hidden for much of the occupation by their old housekeeper, Julia, who passed Agnes off as her niece. Agnes’ mother and many other family members were murdered in the Holocaust. Her father, saved by Raoul Wallenberg, survived. After the war, Agnes emigrated to the United States.
