Join Dr. David Leong on Monday April 7, 2025, at 7:30 pm (EST) for a presentation on Operation Andreas and Operation Bernhard – two secret Nazi counterfeiting operations during World War II.

In attendance will be three different collectors’ clubs – the Boston Numismatic Society, Currency Club of New England, and the Collectors Club of Boston. The presentation will take place at the New Light Korean Church in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Operation Andreas was a prelude to Operation Bernhard and followed the Nazis’ first attempt to counterfeit British bank notes. After Andreas was shut down, the Nazis found success with Operation Bernhard – led by Bernhard Krüger – in which Jewish prisoners in Sachsenhausen were forced to counterfeit British bank notes to be used in the Nazi war effort.

Dr. Leong will also have with him several copies of the book published by the Spungen Family Foundation and the Coin and Currency Institute, Forging Secrets: Faces and Facts Inside the Nazi Operation Bernhard Scheme.
